An ode to the machine.

Just back from a very exciting late afternoon in an old Victorian Factory in deepest darkest East London, well somewhere round the back of the new Olympic site. The place was full to the brim of the history of machinery and manufacturing of eyewear. We took our resident geek Frankie Kane to meet Eyewear designer Brian McGinn for an informal interview/chat, meanwhile I felt something stir inside surrounded by stoic purposeful beauty of the myriad of machinery. The specs were great also, but more of that to come in Issue 2 along with interview. In the meantime some hardware shots to remind us what we are missing now that manual labour is becoming exctinct.
