SHOW NOTES: LOUISE GRAY, LFW, AW11.

Mohair coat with gold polka dot over print, polka dot knee high boots by Nicholas Kirkwood. Balloon hats by Nazir Mazhar.

What can we say that we havent said before about Louise Gray, yes there was the multiple textures, the mash up layering, the jumble silhouettes, the hyper styling, the energy, the impact, the fun, yes , yes it was all there and this season topped off with Nazir Mazhar balloon head pieces.  Even squashed against a back wall with sketchbook and pen you can tell whats going on,  its  the extended party of the Louise Gray aesthetic.   Amidst all of that what you do see changing is the ever more convincing patterns of dressing and in this case a collection of  pieces that could endlessly be tweaked into different outcomes. There is a lot there but despite the heavily orchestrated look there is a looseness and ease and this is  the inherent power behind what Louise offers , you have seen it done this way now do it how you wish. Each piece carries with it its point of origin and the owner/customer knows that. The check Bomber jackets, block print shirts, bold striped twisted dressers and big mohair jackets and coats are all definite winners.

Padded bustier over long sleeve block printed shirt and tasseled mixed weave skirt.

Mashed up tartan bomber jacket worn over mixed check light coat/jacket and block print buttoned up shirt. Ridged sole boots detail.

Wowzer, on the left, multicoloured striped mohair jacket with gold polka-dots and red and gold boots. Right: mixed stripe layered organza dress with twisted drop gold hem and whit and print shirt and more balloon hats.
