DESTINATION ZEN

Zen distinguishes the practical over the theoretical.  The Zen way is reliant on direct experience.  In essence, direct experience is the everyday, the ordinary and the mundane.  Therefore the most redeeming aspect of any form of Zen must be the idea of Zen living or having a Zen mentality.  The Zen mentality shies away from dogma in favour of a rhetoric-free journey towards self-knowledge through meditation, or Zen practice.  This practice, (in its loosest sense) in terms of the ordinary or every-day, can be seen to manifest in a strong sense of purpose.  Purpose found in awareness of raw lived experience……………………………….
