CALUM HARVEY RCA MA GRADUATE COLLECTION
The play on masculine versus feminine is an increasingly well tried pursuit in fashion, but Calum Harvey‘s RCA MA collection offered a more fluid cross reference that celebrated the best of both, in turn creating a new middle ground. An in between space where the character or wearer becomes the pivotal point, the energy defining the direction of a look. Menswear influenced by womenswear or vice verse works equally well on both sexes offering a breathing space beyond the stereotypes allowing form and function across genders blend with textiles and traditions. The options it presents for a truly tactile response to fashion make way for a new abstract sense of self.
