Think it up, make it happen, so we invited the design duo of Karen Shand and Joanna Whelan at “USE IT UP, WEAR IT OUT” to produce a collection of suitably purposeful specs for our 2D3D issue. Their concept of “slow fashion” and recycling through craft fits well with our belief in taking a break and having another look around, inside, in between and beyond.
On a mission to facilitate a kind of surreal spectacle experience “USE IT UP, WEAR IT OUT” are a work shop on the go offering a chance to customise your own outlook and indeed appearance. We can’t always change the world but we can at least alter how it appears with the added bonus of a facial make over, for as long as the specs stay on.
