A Slashstroke re-interpretation of an unextraordinary South Kensington bedsit creates a new dimension, a flexible conceptual interactive environment.

Slashstroke in  collaboration with artists/designers Mireille FauchonJasleen Kaur and Harriet Anstruther  invited the public to explore an altered space and to participate in creating images that in turn became part of the narrative of an unextraodinary space explored over a week. The images below show the projects development from inception onto an oragnic rolling abstract narraitive defined by the input of  those who passed through. 150 people helped crate the images, gradually filling the walls with negative and positive versions of themselves.

The purpose: to explore creative interaction, to connect abstract thinking to possible creative solutions, to allow the public to play with associations and free imagination, to make things possible.

The result: collaborative, combined, positive interaction and production. Many hands make interesting work.

POSITIVE NEGATIVES, POSITIVE NEGATIVES, Slashstroke anti photoshoot in which participants had their picture taken and then cut them selves out and left their image somewhere in the space. With the negative space left over they created a collage of sorts combining other altered images of the space.

The walls, ceilings, doorways, the general space, everything becomes somewhere to leave a mark. As the people dotted themselves around the building the images they created with the negative space from their photographs gradually start to form in to an extraordinary  rambling narrative of  existing in spaces and worlds that never existed.
